Why Pets Love The Pet Water Fountain
cat question....?

my kitty has stopped drinking water completely
i give him semi solid foods
like jelly with fish or meat
he loves the jelly
the vet said that he doesnt need any more water
he gets it all from his food

but honestly i worry
i force feed him water about 3 tablespoonful everyday
he doesnt protest too much

why has he stopped drinking ?
is this normal?
please dont suggest pet fountain or dripping tap
as i tried them all
he is just not interested in them.

there are a few things that come to my mind..
some water has high amounts of clhorine, and pets wont drink it, unless you boil it first and get the chlorine out.
also, some cats would rather drink toilet water. I know, eww.
my cat never touches his water, but Ive found him more than once drinking from the toilet, when somene forgets to close it.
most of the time, you wouldnt catch him doing this, because cats wont do it in front of their owners.
I wouldnt worry about the cat yet, unless he shows signs of dehydration.
signs of dehydration are
constipation
Increased heart rate
Sunken eyes
Dry mouth
Poor skin elasticity -To check for dehydration grasp some skin at the base of their neck (the scruff) and gently pull it up. In the hydrated cat, the skin will spring back immediately. In a dehydrated cat, the skin will be slower to retract. The more severe the dehydration the slower the skin will take to retract.
unless your cat is showing those signs, I wouldt worry too much.
